Going on three trips to Shamattawa, northern Manitoba, to set up a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for children of that
community has been the most amazing and eye opening experiences of my life.
Each year, our team of eight decorated an area inside a building according to a specific theme that was planned in advance.
We planned and carried out several activities related to our theme for each day of the week that we stayed there, including
singing, story time, skits, games, crafts, and sports. Our attendance averaged around sixty children each day.
In August 2006, the last time that I went on this trip, I went as the female adult leader for our CLC missions team.
